About MMHRC - Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Centre

Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre - MMHRC,  in pursuit of medical excellence , has been delivering world-class treatment and care for last 25 years. With over 750 beds, MMHRC has been grown  to be a multi speciality hospital, touching lives of people in and around Madura. It extends the traditional Indian hospitality to international patients, combining it with cutting edge technology, clinical excellence and compassion to deliver quality health care to all patients every single day. Besides that MMHRC has also shouldered social responsibility and has been pioneered several charity initiatives.

We have fostered an environment in which every person is motivated to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness in the management of health care services. S.R. Trust is a non-profit organization registered under the Indian Trust Act ( May 9, 1985). It was Mr. Lal Beer, an American Christian Missionary, who taught Dr. N. Sethuraman (Founder President, S.R. Trust) the valuable lessons of ethics, ideals and values to develop into a moral person in life. This beacon of light guides MMHRC even today.

Our Vision :

Care, Compassion, Commitment, Charity, Empathy, Quality Service.

No man is too poor to afford first grade medical treatment

World class care within everybody’s reach

Quality Policy :

Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Centre, in pursuit of excellence, is committed to comply with applicable requirements for developing and providing world class health care at an affordable cost. We shall foster an environment in which every person is motivated to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness in the management of health care services.

Scope of Emergency Medicine in India :

India as a nation is clearly on the rise towards becoming a world power in the next few decades. In his elaborate analysis the former President of India,  Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam stated in his “India 2020 - A Vision for the millennium” that India’s goal is to offer health care for all. The elevated  goal cannot neglect the care for acutely ill and the injured. Preliminary care for such victims should be instantaneously available round the clock and 365 days of a year. The physicians specialized in Emergency Medicine can only cater to this workload. In India, the cadre of this special group of physicians is extremely less at present.  There is a need of a cadre of trained and specialized physicians to take care of emergencies in all age groups and in both genders involving all disciplines of medicine. The core knowledge of these specialists includes initial care of acute illness in all disciplines of medicine and surgery including trauma. Pre-hospital care and disaster medicine are examples of facets of care, exclusively dealt with in the realm of Emergency Medicine.
